As per very early plans + designs. This is for selecting a file from the file manager on a different screen (CMS content / selecting a product image etc).
It has a collapsed state, showing the selected file details and you can click to launch the modal or just drag a new file on it to instantly upload + select it.
In the open state you can search for a file or upload a new one. You can even edit tags + alt text as you're in there.
