passing clouds and sunlight on fence #1300

motioneyeos seem to detect the subtle changes in the light falling on fence caused by passing clouds. Things get particularly bad on a windy day as i could get an alert email every 5 seconds due to ever changing light. how can this be tackled ? is there a current way to avoid or overcome this issue?

Have you tried adjusting the "Motion Detection -> Light Switch Detection" setting?

Try playing with the despeckle filter. If you want non-default despeckle filter, you'll have to enter it via Motion Extra section. More explanation on what despeckle filter does: http://emit.demon.co.uk/motion/
