I changed my camera to fast network camera in expert settings, and the camera looks much much better in the preview (higher frame rate etc) but I've lost my motion detection and email settings among others. I read that I have to "add the camera as a Network Camera instead of Simple MPEG". Is this a setting somewhere? I found the "Camera Type" field that says simple mpeg but I can't change it. I don't ever remember setting it up as simple mpeg so I'm not sure how to change it to Netwoek Camera.

When in FNC mode, you lose motion detection & co. and there is no way around it. This is reflected in motionEye by the fact that your camera is seen as a simple mjpeg camera.
