I am running motionEyeOS version: 20190427 with Raspberry PI 3B+ and camera: MMAL model PiCam V2.1 connected to the network via WiFi and viewed on PC running Firefox

Video files are being saved in the SSD card in mp4 format by selecting H264 (mp4) Procedure click video arrow on top right of displayed scene, video thumbnail files are listed with details , thumbnails show captured scene in all cases listed below.

Click thumbnail to play video - result is larger picture of thumbnail with video play arrow, PROBLEM APPEARS when I Click the arrow - result dark screen with info which states "Video can't be played because file is corrupt" Investigation Action I download the video file using the download button feature - start it with VLC and file plays normally I repeat above at resolutions 1200 by 800 and 640 by 480 result exactly the same as above.

I change file save type to mkv and record a video file at each of above resolutions - thumbnails both show correct in video recording listings, on selecting the file from the thumbnail the large version appears both without play arrow (as if it is a single photo). (This may not be a problem this is for reference only) I download each of the mkv files to the PC and each plays perfectly with VLC.

NOTE: I have played mp4 videos normally by clicking the thumbnail in the file list previously using same equipment and motioneyeOS version

Today I changed the video mode from H.264 to H.264/OMX and videos actually play. I understood thatH.264/OMX video mode was black listed.
