How to save video to USB/SSD on PI 4B #2358

motionEyeOS Version

I am running motionEyeOS version: 0.8.0

Board Model

I am using the following board/model: Raspberry PI 4B.

Camera

I am using the following type of camera: Network Camera

My camera model is: PNI IP12MP

Network Connection

My motionEyeOS unit is connected to the network via: WiFi

Peripherals

I am using the following peripherals that I consider relevant to this issue:

A simple answer would be to find out where the USB SSD mounts, then put the path in File Storage Storage Device (select your drive) Root Directory Whatever folder you want to save it in.

My SSD is mounted in /media/SSD and has full privilegies (rwx) for everyone. I tried to put the path (/media/SSD) in Root Directory but not saving any video. I have created an symbolinc link from /share/motioneye to /media/SSD and use it in Root Directory but still not saving the videos. The videos are saved only if I use in the Root Directory /share/motioneye

Have you tried /data/media/SSD The /data tree is r/w (read/write), most of the rest of the directory tree is r/o (read only)
