Gmail crashes during email sync or app launching #65

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attempt to access gmail manually - Gmail C immediately
2. when your auto-sync brings down a new email message - gmail FC immediately
3. try to launch Gmail from new mail status icon at top of screen - Gmail FC 
immediately

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm on the 7/17 nightly build with the version of Gmail included
