Synergy Rom splash screen plays in infinite loop

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Flash Rom: 7/17 or 7/22
2. Boot to OS for first time
3. Restart phone for first time

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to boot to OS after a restart. Synergy splash screen keeps playing 
animation non-stop hangs for a second like it wants to boot but plays again. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
7/17 and 7/22 nightlys

Please provide any additional information below.
Formatted and re-partitioned sd card and flashed rom several times.

Yea updated to latest Amon RA recovery from clockwork seemed to do it

Had this with Synergy RLS1 after I did install using by clockwork recovery 
3.0.0.5, with just a dalvik wipe: get the boot animation for a long time, 
occasionally gets to the home/lock screen, stays there for a second, then back 
to the boot animation loop. So I rebooted into clockwork recovery, re-wiped 
cache, rebooted; but, it's back to the stuck animation loop with occasional 
jaunts to the home screen.

Next step - rebooted into clockwork recovery, do a wipe data/factory reset, 
reinstalled Synergy RLS1 - and it works.
