Tried installing with winget and my PC restarted automatically.

I can't update using winget, it gives me the "A newer version was found, but the install technology is different from the current version installed. Please uninstall the package and install the newer version." error, I don't know if it can be also related to this. That message is what usually appears when you try too update a non-winget program using winget, but in this case I installed Shell using winget. I'm in 1.9.15

You can try to uninstall it first

winget uninstall nilesoft.shell

then install again

winget install nilesoft.shell

However, since it is the same file, it will also trigger Windows Security.

Same thing here. Even after Winget uninstall and install. Getting it straight from the website and Windows Security blocks it.
