Minimum cleanup #46

Licenses: the license in this repository reflects the license of the package itself. The license of the packaged software is described in the manifest. Changelog is also related to the packaged software and not the package itself, so I remove it as package and software have different changelog.

I removed old helpers and only fixed installation/removal of packages, to make sure not to have side effects after removal.

I'll go deeper in the cleanup, if this is of any interest to you.
