Request clarification from South Sound 911 on the "Offense" field

For all of the datafiles from SS911, the "Offense" field appears to have a mix of information types. Example from Eatonville PD:

We need to request clarification from SS911 about this field.

1. Does it represent a merging of multiple specific fields for:

• offense -- and is this the initiating suspected offense, the ultimate offense charged, or both?
• severity (e.g. Fel for felony)
• outcome (e.g., arrest)
• other context (e.g. bodycam)

2. If these are separate fields in their RMS, can we request this information in it's original separate format?

3. Is there a coding manual to help understand the abbreviations used in the Offense field?

A clarification letter was sent on 6/12/24 inquiring if you how to proceed with your request as there may be fees associated. We interpret your request to mean you would like a spreadsheet to include a list of the agency, time frame requested where the offense or charge contains "elude" (the offense for "pursuit").
