original data: annual summary, pdf, 6 vars

@moxboxwa they stated their RMS does not include a category for "vehicle pursuits" so they have no responsive data to extract. It's a slight variation on other pushback we've seen before. I can ask them to search for "eluding" if you'd like.

@hejokelly it's clear they are collecting some rich data. Here's the intro from their 2023 report, which references a new Sno911 code called "Elude":

This is definitely something we want to follow up on with Sno911 -- I'll file a separate issue for that.

Their other annual reports make it clear that they do have data of interest, as they break down pursuits by reason, time of day, termination, outcome and collision, for the last 3 years. What we don't know is what they use to bring up these cases in their system, and whether they are summarizing based on coding up the narrative reports at the time they write up the annual report, or whether they have an RMS that includes these coded variables.

Let's discuss how best to f/u with them.

@shiraidris007 @moxboxwa Following up on Martina's question above. How does this sound for request language: "I am following up on my prior pdr request (number XYZ). The annual reports are very helpful, but I'd like to understand them better. Can you share which cases/data are included in the summaries provided in the annual reports? For example, are you searching for specific keywords in the incident report narratives?"

How about:

You noted that your RMS does not include a category for "vehicle pursuits". Your annual reports, however, do include a section with data on vehicle pursuits, with break downs by reason, time of day, termination, outcome and collision, for the last 3 years. Just to clarify, it is this type of data, broken down by month and year, that we are requesting. We request a list of vehicle pursuit incidents, with information on date, reason, time of day, termination, outcome and collision.
