@moxboxwa regarding this dataset, the records tech wrote: Please note for this list of incidents, during the change in pursuit laws we made changes in data entry to attempt to capture more information on cases where we might have previously pursued, but were no longer taking that action. On the spread sheet provided the cases that are listed as items other than "Eluding" are those incidents where subject(s) fled and we did NOT take action to pursue. Starting with case number 22-M00087 and all incidents below. I want to provide you the most information possible, therefore are including this data. If this is not the type of data you are seeking, please disregard them. If you have any questions regarding data provided, please call 360-336-6271 and ask for Jennifer.

@hejokelly i'm not sure how to interpret the fact that these 3 labels are all checked:

data uploaded data ready for analysis waiting for data

is this an example of "waiting for policy" or "waiting for annual reports"?

@moxboxwa this issued is labeled "Discuss", but it's not immediately clear to me why. I do have an update though: We received the dept's annual pursuit analyses, annual reports and their policy updates specific to vehicle pursuits after each change the law. The policy updates include the department's own definitions of eluding v. pursuits. To date, this is the only department I am aware of that attempted to clarify terminology after the updates in law.

@hejokelly thx for the update. my question was in the comment above yours. but now that you've removed the waiting for data label it's resolved.
