Open peiying2 opened 5 years ago

We are going to merge the two bn-* locales into one to fully utilize the community resources. The project has only bn-BD. We want to sync up with the rest of the localized products/projects. The plan is

Dev:

Pontoon (l10n):

Is Mozillians actively maintained by anybody? For how long?

peiying2 commented 5 years ago

@nukeador is there a designated dev working on this repo? You or your group may have the best info on this.

@johngian Might have more info.

Hi @flodolo @peiying2, mozillians.org is still actively maintained and will be at least by H1 2020.

Regarding the locales, we fetch strings from this repo but other than than we are not really involved with the l10n process. I guess the only change we have to do in the mozillians.org side is to change the locale code in our configuration from bn-BD to bn.

Just keep what you are doing. For this, we need you to move bn-BD to bn, and yes, configure the locale code to bn.

After you are done with that, we will coordinate on Pontoon side. How often do you push the code to production? Overall, the community has not been active so we are not interrupting their work. Having said that, the sooner we get this done, the better. We are coordinating the same effort with all the projects/products across the board for this merge/move effort.
