What is the user problem or growth opportunity you want to see solved?

Recently Mozilla has added total cookie protection in v86 however it seems this is not yet added or implemented in Firefox Android. Please add the same

How do you know that this problem exists today? Why is this important?

Total cookie protection missing

Who will benefit from it?

All users

There are some dependencies that we need from GV to be completed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543720

But that Bugzilla issue is 2 years old... Wondering if fenix even existed during that time 🤨

Geckoview existed before Fenix was created, I think the issue has been re-prioritized by the Geckoview team :) .

Since storage api access is enabled in fenix as per below Bugzilla.. Could you please confirm total cookie protection is implemented or not? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543721

The bug was marked as a duplicated of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1543720

GV is no longer a dependency for this. For reference this is what was implemented on Focus: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/issues/5938

I tested the issue on a Fenix debug build 1.0.2236 (2022-08-30) by going to https://senglehardt.com/test/dfpi/storage_access_api.html and tapping on the request storage access buttons from the 3rd and 4th iframes. 1661860195039
