Lots of homepages open in tab tray #10893

2 of my 4 open tabs are the Firefox homepage. It looks like this happens (there may be other instances) when you open a new tab and then select an item from the Jump back in section.

The desired experience is to only ever have one homepage (the active tab) open.

Michael Verdi when we have a page open like in your case “NPR”, open a new tab and tap on the “NPR” page from the “Jump back in” sections it will switch to the opened tab with the “NPR” page. I believe this is the desired behavior as mentioned in https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FXIOS-1875 ( https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FXIOS-1875|smart-link )

Simion Basca Yes that’s right. I think we should probably use switch-to-tab in more places (I have so many npr pages too!) I think the issue here though is the proliferation of unused homepage tabs.
