User Problem

I would like to see the search engine logos added by the user because seeing only the initial is really ugly. https://imgur.com/a/JHF7gGi It happens not only with Startpage but with any. I had created an issue a long time ago on Firefox Focus but nobody responded, most likely it will happen here too.

Ideas for Solution

I don't know, but surely there is some workaround, like in the password managers you can see the logos of the sites you put the link to.

This is not bug. You're adding wrong. If you do not have active Internet connection during custom search engine adding phase, Firefox cannot fetch fav image of search engines. I added StartPage and other example search engines without any problems with active Internet connection

By the way, this is where fav images fetch in firefox-ios codebase
