Search bar for bookmarks #11853

It can be difficult to find a specific bookmark in the bookmarks menu. The obvious solution is to have a bookmarks search bar, much as in the bookmarks manager on desktop Firefox. I have two ideas for where it could go.

Option 1: Make it part of the bookmarks page, directly below the bookmarks/history/downloads/reading list tab menu and above the actual list of bookmarks. It could be considered either part of that header menu and kept permanently on screen, or part of the bookmarks section so that it could scroll offscreen.

Option 2: Put the search bar in its own popup window accessible from a button on the bookmarks screen. I would suggest a magnifying glass icon in the bottom left, opposite the Edit button.

Personally I think the first option with the search bar permanently on screen would be ideal.

Started using tags more and I'm really noticing their absence on mobile. Search would be a good first step towards tag support.

Implementing the search bookmarks feature just as it's already done for history would be straightforward. And yes, missing bookmarks search is really frustrating.
