adblock implementation #13910

User Problem

i would like firefox to natively block ads, or have an option to do so.

Ideas for Solution

implement the same adblocker which is used in firefox focus.

Comments

the lack of a native adblocker is pretty much the only major blocker for a lot of people from switching from safari on their macs/iphones to firefox. I would love for this to be implemented, or at least explained why it would not be possible.

@vidhanio, I believe that https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/9155#issue-1004676144 is the best solution to this - it would allow uBlock Origin to run.
