When you see the “New Tab Opened” toast message, ignore it. Do not tap its “Switch” button.
Now open the tab tray view and try to manually switch to the new tab.
Expected behavior
The new tab’s thumbnail should be shown and you should be able to tap it to switch to it.
Actual behavior
The new tab’s thumbnail is not shown. If you tap the “New Tab Opened” toast message’s “Switch” button instead of trying to find the new tab in the tab tray view, you are successfully switched to the new tab.
This sends to be a tab tray bug, not a bug opening the new tab. I know the new tab was actually opened because when I downgraded to TestFlight version 9000 (38748), session restore opens the new tab that was opened in but not visible in build 38783.
Device & build information
