[Experiment][iOS][Treatment B] The “Start Browsing” button from the “Customize Firefox” screen triggers the “Pick a theme” screen instead of dismissing the Onboarding tour

[Affected versions]:

• Firefox Release 125.0 (40715) - build downloaded from TestFlight.

[Affected Platforms]:

• iOS 17.4.1 - iPhone SE.

• iOS 15.8 - iPad Air 2

[Prerequisites]:

• Be enrolled in the Treatment B branch of the “+App Customization iOS+” experiment.
• Have the Onboarding tour displayed on the device.

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Navigate through the “Onboarding” screens until the “Customize Firefox” screen is displayed.

2. Tap the “Start Browsing” button from the screen.

3. Observe the behavior.

[Expected result]:

• The Onboarding tour is dismissed and the Homepage is displayed.

[Actual result]:

• The “Pick a Theme” screen is triggered.

[Additional Notes]:

• This issue is reproducible only on the Treatment B branch of the experiment.

• According to the interaction notes from +Figma+ the “Start Browsing” button should skip the next screens from the Onboarding flow.

ooooooo I think I see the problem. Can you test this on build 9000? The fix for this is in main but it hasn’t yet been backported to v125 because of how backports and release management works. The backports have been created however.

I have verified this issue on a Firefox Beta 9000 build (40853) and Firefox Release 126 build (40846) from TestFlight and I can confirm that the issue is no longer reproducible here.

Verified as fixed on v9000 (41100), with iPhone 15 (17.4).

I have verified this issue using Firefox Release 125.2 (41035 build from TestFlight) and I can confirm that this issue is no longer reproducible. Thanks!
