When reopening old tabs on iOS, I am directed to a slightly different URL than expected #20402

Steps to reproduce

This issue occurs when I have left Firefox open while doing other things on iOS. When I navigate back and the tabs reload, this happens.

Expected behavior

The same page under the same URL and for the fact that I am still logged in to take effect.

Actual behavior

Instead of reloading my Tumblr tabs as-is I’m thrown back to its homepage and directed to log in again. I’m actually still logged in if I click back to the homepage twice and don’t need to redo my credentials, but I’ve still lost my current page.

It’s doing this to Wowhead too but in a different way. If I attempt to use my https://www.wowhead.com/ button on the new tab page (I’ve verified it’s still that URL) I am for some reason sent to https://www.wowhead.com/beta/talent-calc, a page I’ve only visited a few times.

I can only imagine that for some reason I’ve triggered a cache on the tumblr login and wowhead talent calc pages that Firefox prefers to go to.

hey @Kaleestraza, thanks for reporting. I'm attempting to fix this and I would like to get more info. I would like to focus first on the Wowhead part since it seems to be more aproachable. When you mention "button on the new tab page" you mean a shortcut added to the homescreen? Tapping this button takes you directly to https://www.wowhead.com/beta/talent-calc instead of https://www.wowhead.com/? Does it open a new tab or an existing tab?
