[iPad Multi-Window] Weird animation when going to full view from Slide over window #20489

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch FF and enter in Slide View mode.
  2. Tap on the slide view window and then go to full view mode.
  3. Observe the animation.

Expected behavior

There should be a smooth animation when going to full-screen view.

Actual behavior

Weird animation when going to full view from Slide over window.

I don’t believe there is anything we’ll be able to do about this for the MVP. The window animation itself is driven by the OS and I’m not aware of any APIs/hooks that give us an opportunity to customize this specific transition. If we can find time to do a deep dive into this at some point it’s possible we can find a way to improve it but I’m not aware of any solutions that would be within scope for the MVP.

Andrei Bodea I don’t believe this will be fixable for the MVP, these animations are largely driven by the OS.
