We have a mask that is behind a feature flag. I know this new design it was also confusing so maybe there should be another solution.

Here the UX best practice is that required information should be visible and the user should not have to remember information from the interface. The evaluation considered the move between PBM and normal mode to involve too many steps, and to not be clear enough for the user (the privacy mask is unlabeled). This could prevent some users from using this feature, or easily switching between the two modes. How could we better support this?

Heuristic #6: Recognition Rather Than RecallMinimize the user's memory load by making elements, actions, and options visible. The user should not have to remember information from one part of the interface to another. Information required to use the design (e.g. field labels or menu items) should be visible or easily retrievable when needed.
