The tab counter is not updated when inactive tabs are closed with the right-to-left swipe #21204

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have one or more inactive tabs opened in your Fx
  2. Open the tabs view
  3. Close all active tabs
  4. Open Inactive tabs
  5. For each inactive tabs, swipe right-to-left to reveal Delete button and tap it
  6. Confirm all inactive tabs are closed (no tabs are left in the list)
  7. Review the number of tabs showed in a tab counter badge

Expected behavior

  1. 0 tabs would be shown and/or a New tab page would be opened

Actual behavior

  1. The view remains for Inactive tabs but 2 is the number shown on a tab counter badge while no tabs are opened and the list is empty

Norberto Andres Furlan did few investigations here but I am not able to do exactly the same steps from above because it seems to be another issue with the inactive tabs… or is this expected?
