Using the infrared Fire TV remote works fine when trying to navigate on web pages, because a click on the ring moves the cursor only a little bit.
But it make a lot more sense to use the Fire TV app on my iPhone as the remote control, because it gives me a proper keyboard to type on for text input boxes. The problem is though that the blue cursor circle moves so fast when using the iPhone app that it's impossible to hit anything on a web page.
Not sure if the app itself can control how sensitively to interpret the signals it receives from the app on the phone, but would help a lot if it could.
