DNS over HTTPS not working in Firefox Containers with different Mozilla VPN locations #2944

Not sure how else to word this issue.

When using DNS over HTTPS in Firefox and supplying a custom NextDNS configuration, containers with their own VPN (per the Mozilla VPN integration) do not load at all.

They do, however, load when I choose either the default Cloudflare or NextDNS options.

I have experienced this issue on multiple computers when supplying my custom NextDNS DNS over HTTPS configuration.

I don't know what else to do other than to ask for help here. Google isn't much help either (unless I'm not searching for my issue correctly).

I may be experiencing something similar however I have Use default DNS checked and my containers with a custom location will not load at all. Some general trouble shooting guide would be very helpful. I suspect it is a DNS issue for me but I don't know how to figure out what to do to resolve the issue.

The VPN works fine otherwise. Only the custom containers in Firefox I am having trouble with.

I'm experiencing this on two different Arch Linux machines.

Santiago Andrigo we think this should be addressed as a bug, would you care to weigh in on prioritization?
