Slow Internet Speeds Mozilla VPN

Description

The user is experiencing a significant drop in internet speed when using the VPN. We tried on multiple server locations across Europe and the closest server to their location (Frankfurt).

• User is already on the latest version (2.15.1).
• User is already in the latest Windows Update.
• Issue does not occur when using different devices connecting to the same network, the user tried on a mobile device with no issue.
• ISP: Vodafone
• Issue persists, regardless of the browser (TOR, Firefox, Edge).

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install VPN
2. Connect to any server
3. Browse the web

Actual Results

• Pages load very slowly, and speed results go from 57Mbps without VPN, to 3Mbps and 600Kbps with VPN.

Expected Results

• Connections speed should not drop significantly.

I'm also based in Germany and I second drastic speed loss using the Mozilla VPN App both on Windows 10 (Mozilla VPN 2.19.0) and Android 14 (Mozilla VPN 2.19.2).

With VPN turned off I constantly get the full bandwith of 250Mbps. Using the VPN I get an average of around 72Mbps (+-10). I tried several servers, among others the geographically nearest server and the servers recommended by the App itself.

I really want to use this product, because I trust Mozilla and Mullvad, but a bandwith loss of over 70% is just not acceptable. So is anyone working on this issue?
