[iOS] On-screen keyboard lag on auth password field

Affected versions:

• 2.18.0

Tested Platforms:

• iOS 17.1

Prerequisites:

• Be signed out and on the launch screen

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click either “Sign up” or “Already a subscriber”
2. Enter any valid email (doesn’t matter if the account exists already or not)
3. Enter in a password

Expected result:

• Characters are entered into the field as they are pressed on the keyboard (just like the email field in the previous screen)

Actual result:

• There is noticeable lag between tapping the character, and the system inputting the character into the text field. You can feel the delay in the keyboard (at the system level), especially if you have haptics turned on

Notes:

• The only text field in the app that I have seen this one so far is the password field during authentication
• Seemingly an issue with iOS 17 (noticed in other apps, including iOS apps)

I’m on iOS 17.0 using the #3512 buil from Testflight - 2.18 version, and I am not seeing the delay (haptics enabled). I am attaching a video as well.

Bianca Hidecuti I also just tested build #3512 (2.18), build #3498 (2.17), and 2.17.1 on the app store, and all of them worked fine on iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17.1 beta (21B5045h) (developer beta 1)

Strange… this has been happening to me for months, and all of the sudden it just stopped (and I don’t think I had an iOS update, phone restart, or any kind of settings reset since the last time I saw it)

Came across it multiple times. It seems like an iOS issue, all the password filed lags while typing.
