Juan Carlos Enriquez could you provide more details on this, for QA to try to reproduce it? What Linux version?
Scenario: user has 2.18 version, updates to 2.19, and cannot turn the client ON? If he enables ipv6 on the Linux device, the Mozilla VPN can be turned on with success?
Thank you in advance!

Verified this on Linux 22.04, 23.04 and 23.10 and I was able to turn the VPN ON while having the ipv6 feature disabled.

The VPN stopped working after the latest update, when clicking connect a red banner appears requesting a reset to the background service.When connecting using CLI, this error message appears: $ mozillavpn activate QDBusArgument: write from a read-only object The VPN tunnel activation failedThis bug was reproduced by the user more than once and it's still affecting his device:
1) Resolution the first time:When the user has IPV6 disabled the logs show a permission denied and no such file error. But when he re-enable IPv6 for the Ethernet NIC, he did this using the network manager in Gnome.He did run the command: sysctl
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 0
and reconnected using the Mozillavpn GUI.After those steps, he was able to establish the VPN connection and there were no more error messages in the log file.2) Resolution second time:After a reboot, the user was not able to establish a VPN connection. So he ran this workarounds:
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 0
net.ipv6.conf.*.disable_ipv6 = 1
Again, he was able to establish the VPN connection and there were no more error messages in the log file.Does it impact functionality or aesthetics? Yes Does this endanger users? What would be compromised and how likely is the threat? No How annoying is this for affected users? (Think about how much 'in the way' this is, relative to what the user is trying to do) Yes Does it degrade the user experience significantly? Yes Is it legally sensitive? No
