[Windows 10] Turn ON is not made instantly

Important details:

• Was not reproducing on 2.20/2.21 while testing those;
• Currently is reproducing while installing previous versions as well;
• Not reproducing on other platforms;

Version/build found in:

• 2.22.0 (2.202404102123);

Reproducible on:

• Windows 10;

Prerequisites:

• Have the Mozilla VPN client installed;
• Have an account with subscription for Mozilla VPN;
• Be logged on Stage;
• Be on multi-hop;

Steps to reproduce:

1. Turn ON the client;
2. Observe the behavior;

Expected result:

• The Mozilla VPN client is turned on instantly;

Actual results:

• It takes around 10-15s to be turned on;

Notes:

• Not so visible for single hop;

1. Were you able to reproduce this on Production?
2. Is this behavior worse than it was before? Have you noticed an increase in time it takes to connect?
3. Have you had an opportunity to reproduce this with a more proximate server?

• Yes, it is reproducing on Prod as well. (see video below)

• Yes, I’ve noticed an increase in the time that it takes to connect - only Windows;

  • This is weird because, it was not the case while testing 2.21/2.20, but currently it happens on those versions as well.

• Yes, I am able to reproduce it with default location as well.
