Australia/NZ don't show up in default view #132

While I think that centring the map on 0W/0N is a fine idea, I'd like to get all of the countries where we have stumbling in the default view. I know that integer scaling is not our friend here, but I'd like to spend some brainpower on it and see if we can come up with something.

Also, selecting New Zealand fromt eh country drop-down does not zoom to NZ properly.
