Identifying communications channels for our outreach

Problem statement: Campus program portal is static and needs some regular updates—both for engaging with the Captains, other club members, and RCs regularly, and make the site more SEO friendly.

Ideas to add some dynamic content:

Media types:

Monthly updates with audio-visual content rather than just text-based updates. e.g. Opensource.com weekly wrap-up videos. The same content can be tweaked a little bit to share in different platforms.
Picture collage with brief description (so that they are accessible and fit all kinds of audience—those who want to know details about anything, and those who just want to see the pictures.)
Would recommend to keep a "News"/"Updates" section in the Campus portal and keep archiving this over there. Any blog outside the portal like Medium would be good too but it might just be distracting but there exists so many other Mozilla communications channels. Creating another one outside the Mozilla portal might just add to that list.

Content:

Featuring blogs published by RCs/Captains
Success stories of clubs (same that are shared over emails with RCs/Captains)
Tips and tricks (same that are shared over emails with RCs/Captains)

Hi Subha and thanks for your work. So summing it up, about a communication channel you propose a "news" area in our website. And the same news to be email to students in a monthly base. Is that correct?

About the content of the communication I think it belongs to a broader external communication plan.

Hi @bacharakis you're right. I personally did not feel the need for creating different content for different portals here especially when the content can be hosted in the Campus Program portal, and then copied to a Discourse post and to individual emails. We are going to keep the content brief and sharp anyway.

Do you suggest to start working on a content? I will need some "news" to create it.
