Active Tab colour not covered #988

I only want to change the colour of the active tab. Can I change this 1 item colour? I don't want FC to change any other colours than the ones I specify.

Just wanted to change active tab colour to make it more visible in dark theme. Tried changing :Toolbar Icons and Text". It changed the colour of the toolbar, text, and all tabs. Undo and Reset didn't set it back to how it was (which was dark in colour though not dark theme as I have all of Windows in dark mode). about:addons > "System theme" was enabled but in a light theme. Enabled theme "Dark". Re-enabled theme "System theme" ("Follow the operating system setting."). Now it is back to colour scheme from before I installed this add-on...

Under Advanced tab, changed Button Background Active (assuming it means "Active Tab colour" (as opposed to active tab text colour). Again it changes the colour of all tabs. Undo doesn't work... about:addons > Enabled theme "Dark". > Re-enabled theme "System theme"... :(

This time... Advanced colors > Tab Selected (thinking this might mean Active Tab). Clicked "or select a color" below "use Firefox default style". It changed colour of all tabs, toolbar and text. FFS Undo doesn't work... about:addons > Enabled theme "Dark". > Re-enabled theme "System theme"... Proving feedback... :[

I'm trying to do the same thing.

A recent change in Firefox's appearance has has a negative impact on accessibility for me: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1346769

I want to just change the colour of the active tab. I don't mind if that changes the colour of the toolbar below. That would actually help me because it would make the active tab look more attached to the area below. That is a paradigm I'm used to from decades of using operating system GUI.

At the moment, if I use Firefox Color to change the Toolbar Color it changes everything else it has control over too.

I don't seem to be able to change the colour of just one component.

I would be very grateful for any help that anyone could give me with this. Thanks in advance.

@onebod Please may I suggest that you change the issue title to "Only change colour of active tab"? From what you say, it sounds like you have managed to change the active tab colour. The problem is that FC has changed the colour of everything else too.

Thanks for the suggestion but I did not manage to change the active tab colour on its own. What wording led you to think that? I'll maybe change that instead of the title.
