Get the library to interoperate with other crowdsourcing intiatives better #1581

This is a tracking bug.

I'd like to see our library code play nicely with other crowdsourcing initiatives to incentivize usage of our library.

+1 this idea. I used to participate in OSM mapping and was always annoyed that I had to use one app for wardriving/netmonitoring and another for nice GPX generation.

If this library allows user to chose which type(s) of data to collect, it will become more attractive to diifferent projects app developers. For example: OSM mappers can use it for GPX generation, wardrivers for WiFi measurements, netmonitors for Cell signal measurements.

At some point collection of other types of meassurements could be implemented, like pressure (#1562), temperature, magnetic field strength, and whatever else everage devices can sense.
