### Resolving Python Version Compatibility Issues for Installing tts
If you encounter issues installing the tts package due to Python version incompatibilities, follow these steps to resolve the problem:
To avoid conflicts between the pre-installed & newly installed python versions make sure you are carrying out this process in an venv(virtual environment)
Steps to Install Python 3.9 and the tts Package
### For Ubuntu/Debian-based Systems:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa
sudo apt update
Verify the Installation :
python3.9 --version
2.(Set Up a Virtual Environment) Create a virtual environment using Python 3.9 to avoid conflicts with system packages:
python3.9 -m venv myenv
source myenv/bin/activate
3.Upgrade pip in virtual environment :
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
pip install tts
4.Verify the Installation :
pip show tts
NOTE ; ### If the above method shows error during the tts package installation using the pip command that means we have to reinstall the pip in that particular env for that simply add 2-3 lines of bash commands to your terminal :
sudo apt install --reinstall python3-apt
sudo apt install curl
curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py -o get-pip.py
python3.9 get-pip.py
pip install TTS
You can access the Shell config file & make changes with the following commands :
nano ~/.bashrc
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
Apply the changes :
source ~/.bashrc
By installing Python 3.9 and creating a virtual environment, you ensure that the tts package can be installed and used without interfering with system-wide packages or encountering version conflicts. This method isolates the package environment, making it easier to manage dependencies and versions.
