Oh, and I've just installed the Beta. Something's a bit shifty about this. Of course I've assigned it to its own folder as opposed to the usual Firefox folder, but in practice, it still counts as three. I'd like to know whether there's an installer that's NOT a stub installer. Unless that's not an option for the stable and beta builds, which would be even stranger if one wants to install them offline. Sorry to be bothering you guys - seems all I did was getting in here to complaint and not begin working, but I've done some progress in my restudying. It's been four years since I've last dabbled with any kind of coding, and not only I'm thoroughly studying the Github PDF manuals, but even also usual Unix/Linux language/coding and setting up a virtual OS with Virtualbox (Kubuntu - that's what I was used to, and while unfortunately I can't test Thunderbird, I've got no option since Ubuntu isn't necessarily free anymore, let's put it that way, but then again I can test Thunderbird on my Windows 8) so I'm doing my best. Please help me on this. Should there be no help, I don't mind either, I'm not here for prizes, I'm here to contribute. Wouldn't put such an effort if all I cared about was a gif with embedded javascript information.
Not quite sure if this is the same issue or not, but I just filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1105075 about also not being able to add a badge to my backpack.
The title is self explanatory, and although I'm a rookie, there has got to be some issue with this. I've consulted Google and the answers I've found involved simply either doing what I tried, or complicating things further. My Persona and Backpack emails are the same so there shouldn't be any problem at all when the "Hooray" dialog popped up when I went to add the simple "Nightly User" badge in my Backpack. To no avail - it always says I'm not connected to the Backpack -when I AM - and tells me that the award has failed to be uploaded. Since I do know this is a simple operation, and that the people asking how to do it (on moodle.org) seemed to have complete ignorance about the issue, and that the person offering help listed the obvious way to do it (as described above) as the SECOND option, then I don't think that's any sort of mistake on my part. I'm just trying to help, but I'd also like to accept the awards given to me by Mozilla. Could this be fixed? Or do we have another bug here? I have the latest builds of Firefox, Aurora, and now Nightly installed here.
Thank you very much.
