[QA] Fix broken links #104

Open xmatthewx opened 8 years ago

Is this the repo for build.mozillafoundation.org? Should it be renamed? Or, should I file this bug elsewhere?

I'm hoping we can get the design team page back up for reference while we try to hire a new designer.

There are a few broken links in the hand nav to be fixed:

@simonwex – do you have any info on this? would be a useful link for the open design position.

This would be useful for London and our open design position. @OpenMatt @cadecairos @simonwex @alicoding @gideonthomas

@xmatthewx what should the banner have instead of "Let's build Webmaker together"?

Also, the Design team page was moved to https://github.com/mozillafoundation/design. Do you want the link to point there (I'm not sure but it might not be straightforward) or just remove the link altogether?

@gideonthomas - Something that reflects the new strategy. Maybe "Let's build an open and accessible Internet for everyone".

I’m working on updated copy now.

Matthew: just spoke to Simon — we’d like to put build.mozillafoundation.org on the new Calypso CMS.

I’m going to stage it on a separate WordPress site. Then export it when the CMS is ready.

I’ll post the details for the staging site here and get you set up as an admin there.

That's sounds fantastic. What's the rough timeline? We have an open design job, and I'd love to point candidates to our design page, but it's currently broken. It could be a quick fix if this migration won't be immediate.

Aw sorry -- I was mostly just talking about working on an updated front page for build.mozillafoundation.org

As far as the design section being broken, I can't help with that. I think we should treat that as a separate quick fix issue, as you suggested.

Maybe @cade can help just make sure the link is properly re-directed / recovered so you can use your design landing page link in the short-term?

I can probably load the design page in an iframe, but @cadecairos would be more helpful with redirecting.
