Sometimes in IRC you want to link to another channel and make it easy for recipients of a message to jump to it. e.g.
alanmoo: Hey check out the convo in #town-square!
And then clicking that should bring the user there. The desired behavior is that there would be some sort of pop-up above the post box that lets you select a channel to hotlink.
