Instagram Direct Messages (Web) There was a problem loading your inbox. #699

Open djo5296 opened 3 years ago

djo5296 commented 3 years ago

Actual behavior

Instagram is not loading my direct messages. It keeps showing a black bar on the bottom of the page saying "There was a problem loading your inbox."

image

Expected behavior

Whether I have Facebook Container enabled or not, I should be able to load the webpage and be able to send messages.

Steps to reproduce

  1. load https://www.instagram.com/direct/inbox/

Hey ! I have the same issue. Did you get to a solution?

Steccah commented 3 years ago

The only thing you can do is disable it and using something like privacy possum

kinguser981 commented 3 years ago

I solved this problem just do that!

First open ur chrome browser or etc. And set Instagram on Cookies settings to keep them all of the time. Look like this!

open the Chrome settings and after that open cookies and other site data. And add this line on this tab sites that can always use cookies "https://www.instagram.com"

Ok next step

Open Instagram and log in.

Settings >>>push notifications And set settings look like this Turn off everything, except these tabs

Instagram Direct request

from everyone

Reminders

from everyone

support request

on

And do same settings on ur phone if u problem didn't solved

@djo5296 Are you still having this issue?

i ended up ignoring desktop IG DMs for quite a while until months later, I accidentally opened my bookmark of it and it's working fine. I still don't know what caused it or what fixed it.
