Container keeps opening tabs and now I can't uninstall it #916

I'm using firefox 89.0 (yeah I know it is old but I hate the new versions) and installed Facebook Container (FBC) Version 2.3.9. Ever since I did that, a new FB tab of one of my other groups continues to open randomly and I can't figure out why. When I uninstall FBC (from addons manager), it still appears to be installed (I have a black line under my FB tab title and the "fence" icon appears in the address bar of the FB tab). Question is, how do I completely uninstall it??

I'm closing this issue as the problem seems to have resolved itself. I spent 4 days trying many things (installing/uninstalling the plugin, reboots, etc) with no success. This is when I raised this issue. I now find I don't have the black line in my FB tab and the fence is no longer in my address bar. Only thing that has happened is a "apt upgrade", which didn't include my browser.
