@srivastavaayu thank you for the report! This issue was fixed. Could you, please retry with a newer build?
@softvision-miralobontiu Yes, the issue has been fixed. I tried it on the latest build 6/28 on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and it has been fixed. On the other side, it is not asking at all if I want to open any webpage in an external application(eg. Reddit, Youtube, LinkedIn, etc.). It doesn't seem right this way. Does it? Thanks!
@srivastavaayu it actually asks the user to open in an external app:
@softvision-miralobontiu I think you misunderstood me. When I try to open YouTube and Linkedin on Google Chrome, it displays a pop-up asking if I want to open that website in another application. Please see the attached screenshot yourself. This pop-up feature was present in the Firefox Preview.
Thank you, you're right! This feature will be implemented soon, please see #1755
Fenix Version: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 9; Mobile; rv:68.0) Gecko/68.0 Firefox/68.0 Device: Asus Zenphone Max Pro M2 Android Version: 9 Issue Type: Functional (doesn’t behave as expected) GitHub Username: @srivastavaayu Tried in other browser: ☒
Steps to Reproduce
1) Open Firefox Preview 2) Type the URL of a website (of which you have a mobile application on your phone) in the search/URL bar (Reddit and Linkedin in my case)
Expected Behavior
The browser should ask just ONCE if you want to open it in an external application.
Actual Behavior
The browser asks an undetermined number(n) of times if you want to open it in an external application and opens numerous duplicate tabs(n+1 tabs) of the same website.
