Steps to Reproduce

  1. visit some page that allows reader mode (e.g. https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jun/25/san-francisco-e-cigarettes-vaping-juul-ban )
  2. pinch zoom the content to scale up
  3. trigger reader mode

Expected Behavior

content is shown in reader mode and looks nice to read

Actual Behavior

content shown in reader mode but zoomed in and I cannot pinch zoom out so the content is really hard to read

Wish for an upcoming feature

reader mode keeps pinch zoom scale factor from original view and does not allow to reset zoom

and it didn't occur in Fennec (Beta). hope that helps.

Hi and thanks for your report.

I was able to reproduce the above mentioned issue on the latest Fenix version (1.0.1926, 6/27) using a Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8.0.0).
