I just found out that this extension exists. Having it in firefox to auto-fill email-fields makes sense but wouldn't it be better if there is also another extension in Thunderbird aswell? So that you can add and delete alias adresses from a program thats all about emails. And in addition to that aswell owned by Mozilla. To automatically tag these aliases to see what this adress was intended for and so on. Is such an addon planned?

Hi @maxkraft7 thank you for sharing this idea! We'll put this in the backlog, review and speak with the Thunderbird team.

This would be amazing if it can happen.

Hello, I am a proud subscriber of Private Relay and Thunderbird. I was wondering if it can be somehow integrated with Thunderbird, that would be an amazing breakthrough. Integration can be either via an extension or integrated with Thunderbird as inbuilt.

What will be the use of it:

  1. Private Relay can help use the temporary email addresses to send or reply to emails.
  2. Private relay aliases can be selected from to send an email from.

If there can be feature like sending emails from random generated emails from the thunderbird, that will be amazing. Just like the apple mail app for macos works. This would be amazing.
