Thanks for the issue. We don't currently restrict any emails from going thru the service. But we might consider doing that in the future.

Firefox Relay doesn't (yet) block spam. The function of the relay is to "cover" your real address. You will still receive spam but the spam will not find your actual email address.

Plus, it's also quite risky to make an application that "blocks" or automatically deletes spam. It's widely known that email services tries to "recognize" spam and automatically puts that spam in the "junk" folder. But we've seen, many times, that they (the email provider) usually fails to recognize real spam and sometimes puts accrual mail in the spam/junk folder.

So making Firefox Relay delete spam will be quite hard and will, probably, accidentally delete your important mails.

https://relay.firefox.com/faq

"What about spam?

While Relay does not filter for spam, our email partner Amazon SES does block spam and malware. If Relay forwards messages you don’t want, you can update your Relay settings to block messages from the alias forwarding them.

If you see a broader problem of unwanted email from all of your aliases, please report this to us so we can consider adjusting the SES spam thresholds for this service.

If you report these as spam, your email provider will see Relay as the source of spam, not the original sender."
