what do you think about this? There's a little button on the right side of the list item that says "View". If a user presses View, it changes to Viewing for that list item. If you're presenting on a page, it'll say "Presenting".
Another factor to bring into the design is showing participants in live and presentation sessions. Like, I'd really like for there to be an activity like "Ian presenting [title] to Gregg and Ilana". Or giving that information via icons or whatever... whatever it is, it will affect the layout of those items.
The "view" button seems like it would take up a lot of room, and the activity stream is fairly cramped already.
"Viewing" will be going away, because viewer's tabs will be combined with the presenter.
The "Presenting:" can be styled however we want, we could/should make it more distinct and less like a part of the title.
We can keep the names of other participants as it is implemented now, and think about multiple avatars in the future.
We can style people's names if we want, to indicate focus, but it probably won't be the same as the style we'll otherwise use to indicate the active tab (which is unfortunate). Or we could even put an inline location image.
Not clear to me the difference between Spectating and joining a Page from a list item in the Activity Stream (eyeball icon -> spectating on the page vs mainlink -> navigating to the link).
If someone is presenting, should clicking on their link always take you to spectator mode? Not sure if we are tracking who is presenting what.
