stacked avatar icons, no murderers row #315

Increase the 'currentness' of where people are.

I am not sure what to do with this, but it's part of what we discussed yesterday.

I think the underlying idea would be that everything we show would come in little square bits, and we'd stack those up in various ways. Nothing would scroll off, we'd just have to curate the list of squares to exactly how much space we have. Avatars would be a lead in to things the person is doing?

I can imagine chat actually pushing up from the input box, and fading away (but with some expando button to see old chat). Text chat doesn't really fit into any card/tile model, but we could treat it separately.

The design I'd like to see is what those tiles could look like, and what information we could convey in them.
