Not sure what's the hash on stage - but we're ready to push it to PROD. Please find us on IRC to test the push.

John and I are looking at this now.

jaredhirsch commented 10 years ago

Let's please not release stage to prod, we were specifically only using prod for shane's mozilla/persona#4144 fix because personatest has been out of commission.

If we are happy to do the release, Callahad or I can cut a branch following the wiki docs, and we can release that.

Sound good?

karlht commented 10 years ago

If the branch is going to contain substantially different code from what is currently on stage, then I have become very confused about how Persona's release process works.

What would be the substantial differences between what is in the proposed branch and the code currently on stage?

relud commented 10 years ago

I think what's going on is that we need to cut a release, push that to stage, test in stage, then promote to prod. @6a68?

edwindotcom commented 10 years ago

i guess, we do it all over again -- start up the band

relud commented 10 years ago

0717 destroyed

jaredhirsch commented 10 years ago

@karlht: Sorry to cause confusion here. I used stage for testing a pull request because our usual infrastructure for testing pull requests was busted (personatest.org DNS and cert had expired). That's the only departure from our usual process, and I clearly could have done a better job of communicating that. Thankfully, Gene's got personatest up and running, so this shouldn't happen more than once.

Closing this bug, since we don't currently have a branch to deploy ^_^
