Only the "i" info button works Error console messages included.

When I launch Collusion I get the date, count of sites visited and number of 3rd party sites, but no buttons work except for the "i" info button. My Error console is also generating a long string of errors (below):

Just installed the latest version and while the vast majority of errors listed above are no longer showing in my error console the whole user interface of this add-on still does not work for me. Also when it is activated my browser memory usage starts to explode (e.g. just had to restart it with FF using well over 900M of memory.

Upon opening lightbeam, the following errors are now being reported by my error console (FF24.0):

More followup on this issue. I've tried disabling all extensions and Lightbeam still does not work in my main profile. I would be open to testing ideas to try and figure out what is preventing it from functioning. One thought I have is that maybe it has issues if too many tabs are open. Another thought is that maybe I have some setting somewhere that is interfering.

On the CSS errors listed above, a couple are the result of incorrect CSS statements (e.g. "font-color:#fff" instead of "color:#fff"). Other CSS errors seem to be from trying to support older versions of Firefox by retaining the "-moz" prefix.

Ideally, there should be no CSS warnings returned by the error console

The description of the error in OP exactly matches my experience of Lightbeam. Only the i button does anything. I had Collusion previously and it worked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Lightbeam but that has not fixed the problem. Web console shows the following errors, which seem to be similar to KenInME's errors:

I also tried Collusion before (the one available on AMO) and it worked fine. I then tried the beta one and started having the problems documented here. I'm wondering if that Collusion left behind some detritus (e.g. about:config entries) that is causing issues?

I hadn't installed Collusion and I'm having the same issues with Lightbeam not functioning other than the i link. I've uninstalled all my extensions. Even restarted my PC and still no happiness.

Solution found: You can't have custom history settings keep cookies set to "Ask Every Time" Change that to either of the other two and it works.

No, it doesn't. This is not a solution! At the moment it doesn't even work as a temporary work-around.

I have been trying to use Lightbeam for a little over a year (on & off) , it has never worked for me in FF, even in a new blank profile, regardless of cookie settings or other active/disabled/uninstalled add-ons. I have only ever seen the date and sites visited, with only the " i " button working, on versions 0.22 thru to 1.0.8.

I think the idea behind Lightbeam is great , long overdue and, now more than ever , absolutely essential.

To block or not to block? To track or be tracked? To be identifiable online (as proven several times from Google's annonymous data) or try to be truely (and leagally) annonymous online? (Without the need for multiple proxies, pipes or other diversions considered necessary for annonyimity.)

These are the questions Lightbeam is supposed to help all levels of web user answer, so it's not only disapointing that it would not work with the option to chose which cookies you want to block, or only allow for a session, it's absurd. (Irrelevent of developmental needs.) Lightbeam needs to work despite blocked cookies, and despite wanting the option to blacklist cookies, before Lightbeam identifies them.

I have been able to get Collusion working on Chrome only to see exactly how it works, but if I really wanted to use Chrome, I probably wouldn't be that interested in Firefox (maybe Palemoon) or the insight Collusion/Lightbeam would give me, but I am very interested. I am also very interested in the potential anti-tracking developments that will be made possible through the insights Lightbeam illuminates (sic.).

PLEASE, please, please, try to get Lightbeam working with FF realease channel, whether cookies are set or not and with the normal safety minded settings and add-ons that FF users consider normal tese days. The information Lightbeam delivers must be accessable to all who want it.

Additionally, the memory useage needs to be restrained, especially for a tab-a-holic like me, who has 159 tabs currently open, with 43 active I am more than willing to help with the progress of lightbeam and can be contacted via github.com, but I should warn that my skills were honed on a ZX81.

I am thrilled that Mozilla have taken this onboard and have secured backing from the Ford Foundation, but without making this accessable to all who want to use it, Lightbeam will be stuck within the development community, where I fear it will remain.

Sorry for going on and on, but with the way FF is diseminating so fast from it's once strong origins, I would hate to see Lightbeam be forced that way.

This bug has become too verbose to be useful in debugging. In addition, the last usable stack trace refers to files that are no longer in release, e.g.
