Feature Request: Safari (desktop) port svp #677

It would be nice to get this for Safari.

It would be great if someone wanted to port this to Safari if it has the right extension hooks. Whoever takes that on is welcome to re-use our code under its open source license.

I will close this issue since this repository is specific to the Firefox add-on.
