This is a durational workshop hacking session free for people to drop in and out of. There will be an hour where we will explore the BBC Microbit, and its place in the digital DIY ecosystem. We will look at and hack with examples of a traditional game such as ping pong and table football. Then enhanced/connect them with the Micro:Bit, along with other sensors and outputs.
Agenda
This is an informal workshop for people interesting in hardware hacking, and to look at approaches, solutions and glorious mistakes. We’ll investigate design decisions, resources and make up user cases, some we’ll have a go at, and some we won’t. We’ll explore useful and non useful IoT applications, with attention to goal driven and tech driven pathways. What is it? What does it solve? What does it enhance? How would you do it?
Participants
Anyone is welcome to drop in at any time, of all ages and abilities - this will naturally be a sharing space where we’ll look to connect combinations of things, thoughts and people.
Outcomes
To explore the soon to be released BBC Microbit. Look at IoT applications from the perspective of the workbench and dream up as many IoT flora and fauna as possible
